Processing orders on bol.com

An explanation of how to process orders on the bol.com partner platform.

We have of course had an account with bol.com for a long time and have been up and running for a while, but in this blog we will process your first order. How does this work and what does it all involve? Read on quickly!

Before you can process an order, you need to check a few things. For example, you need a shipping label to be able to send a package. I recommend that you use PostNL labels within the Netherlands. These labels are reliable in terms of delivery time. You can create a PostNL label via bol.com, this is much cheaper than if you purchase it from PostNL itself. So definitely use this function!

If you want to process an order, you first have to go to the orders heading. You can find this in the bar at the top of the screen. It is the second button from the left. As soon as you have pressed this, you will find a list of orders that have been found in your orders. Do you want to process a specific order? Then click on the ball with three dots.

It may seem logical to then click on send via PostNL, but in this case choose send via bol.com. You can also create a PostNL label via bol.com.

If you click on send via bol.com you will end up in a step-by-step plan. In four steps you create a label and you can process the order. If this is successful, the customer will receive a message. To send an order we use a PostNL label, for a package within the Netherlands you choose the third option. The price of this is 6.65 euros.

e presses select at the option you want to use, in my case the third option. At that moment you come to the second step choose shipping method. PostNL has two types of deliveries: letterbox and parcel. You choose the delivery you need. Often this will be the parcel delivery for products, in that case you choose Pakket NL.

If you have made the right choice, click on go to the summary. You will find this blue button at the bottom left of the screen. In the summary, bol.com asks if you are sure that the shipment is correct. This also indicates that bol.com automatically offsets your stamp costs for the shipment with your proceeds.

The last thing you have to do now is confirm the shipment. Once you have done this, the customer will receive a confirmation that the order is being shipped. The labels can be printed: the parcel stamp and a packing slip.

That was it! If you now go back to your list of orders, you will see that this order is no longer listed. It has been processed!
